Is it Rude To Use Different Languages in Front of Someone at Work?

21st January 2019

Today’s episode of Frankly Speaking With Glory is asking; “Is it rude for an arrogant condescending coworker to use a different language in front of someone in a Nigerian work place?” If you think YES, comments with your reasons and if not, do like wise.

Truth is, I think it’s rude for a arrogant condescending coworker to use a different languages in a work place, especially when those who claim to enjoy communicating in their dialect utilize the opportunity to be petty and spiteful towards their other colleagues who have no knowledge of their dialect.

Nigerians need to understand that the work environment is another social community where diverse cultures and tribes exist. Thus, no arrogant condescending coworker has any right to enforce their language on another. If other tribes cannot speak your language, you can only encourage them to learn and not hate/spite them for it or better still, FACE YOUR WORK AND BE NICE.
